Continuing our Venue of the Month series, which recognises venues across our network that have really stood out, we’re pleased to announce The Parklangley Club as our winner for August, receiving our ‘Most Consistent Charger Use’ award.

The award recognises the consistently strong use of the club’s EV charger over the past six months. Rather than seeing occasional peaks in demand, The Parklangley Club has maintained a remarkably steady level of charging activity month after month, showing sustained demand from its members and visitors.

Responding to growing EV demand

The Parklangley Club decided to introduce EV charging after noticing more of its members and visitors making the switch to electric vehicles.

“We could see that more of our members and visitors were moving towards electric vehicles, so installing charging points felt like a natural step.”

For the club, it was an opportunity to respond to changing member needs while continuing to invest in more sustainable facilities.

“We wanted to respond to that growing demand while also looking ahead and making the club more sustainable.”

Six months of consistent charger use

Since installation, that demand has translated into regular charger use. Over the past six months, usage has remained consistently strong, earning The Parklangley Club this month’s award.

The club has been particularly pleased to see how reliably the charger is being used.

“EV ownership is clearly becoming more common, but seeing the chargers regularly used each month reinforces that there is genuine demand for the service. It’s reassuring to know that the investment is being used and valued.”

The consistency is a great example of how EV charging can become an established part of a venue’s facilities rather than something that is only used occasionally.

Adding convenience for members and visitors

With members and visitors often spending several hours at the club, EV charging also fits naturally into the overall experience.

Whether they’re playing sport, using the gym, socialising or enjoying the club’s other facilities, drivers can leave their vehicle charging while they’re already on site.

“For us, it’s about convenience and providing a complete experience. Members can come to the club for a few hours to play sport, use the gym, socialise or enjoy our other facilities, and being able to charge their car at the same time is an added benefit.”

The club also sees charging as another way to keep pace with the changing needs of its community.

“It adds another useful service for our members and visitors and helps us keep pace with the changing needs of our community.”

A positive experience with voltshare

The Parklangley Club described its experience with voltshare as straightforward and positive, with the charger proving to be a useful addition to the club.

“It’s been great to offer members and visitors a convenient way to charge their vehicles while they’re using our facilities.”
