Throughout our website and various agreements, we may refer to terms that have pre-defined meanings. Please see below the list of terms and their definitions.
TermsDefinitions
Appmeans the voltshare mobile application software and the related electric documentation.
Accountmeans the part of the voltshare payment methods requiring entry of information to register you as a User.
Account Balanceaccumulation of Session Charges or monies accrued from other services on the App
Backend Service Providermeans the platform or software that is used to manage the charger and provide the Host with tools to monetise their charger.
Chargeemeans the User looking to use a Host’s Charger to charge their EV in a Session.
Chargermeans the device used to charge EVs.
Contractmeans the Contract between the Host and Chargee for the Chargee to use a Host’s Charger and pay the applicable Rate for doing so. We shall not be a party to this Contract, nor act as agent to either Host or Chargee.
EVmeans the Chargee’s electric vehicle.
E-walletmeans the account on the App in which Session Charges payable to the Host, less Our Fee are transferred after each Session, according to TPPP’s payment schedule.
Partiesmeans the Host, the Chargee, and voltshare.
Premisesmeans the property to which the Charger is fixed or stored.
(Our) Feemeans the 15% commission we take from the Chargee’s payment for a Session Charge, through the App.
Profilemeans the publicly displayed part of a User’s Account where Hosts can advertise the availability and Rate of their Charger, and Chargees can display the details of their EV (for Charger compatibility checks) and Users can use the messaging service to contact each other.
Productsmean any and all hardware (Charger and related parts), software (App, Web app), others (Contactless Payment Terminal).
Ratemeans the amount of money the Host charges per unit kWh for electricity and per unit hour for parking. The Host is free to change their Rate at any time, but once there is a live Booking or ongoing Session, the Host cannot change the Rate until the Booking is cancelled or until the Session has ended.
Sessionmeans the period of time, the start of which being confirmed when the Host’s Charger is connected and charging the Chargee’s EV, and the Chargee shall become liable to pay the Host for the amount of time the EV was charging at the Rate applicable until the EV is disconnected from the Charger.
Session Chargemeans the sum payable by the Chargee through the TPPP upon the ending of a Session. The Session Charge payment sent to the Host will be subject to Our Fee, which will be made clear in the App or the TPPP’s software, systems, or terms.
These Termsmeans this entire document and any linked or ancillary documents or wording mentioned in this document. If These Terms conflict with any other document mentioned, then These Terms shall prevail.
TPPPshall refer to the third-party payment processor, being Stripe or any other payment processor, we may use from time to time to process payments on the behalf of all Parties in relation to the Chargee paying the Host and the taking of Our Fee from the Session Charge payment before being paid to the Host. Usermeans a Host or Chargee, or any other person accessing the App. Users may also be referred to as ‘You’
V Cardmeans the RFID card that is issued by voltshare.
Web Appmeans the web-browser based voltshare software
Withdrawal Limitmeans the minimum amount that the Host’s E-wallet must possess before a withdrawal into their connected bank account can be made. This is set at £50.00
