Next up in our meet the team series is Laura, our Senior Marketing Exec, who tells us about her role and what made her get into the EV charging industry.

Hi, I’m Laura and I’m the Senior Marketing Executive here at voltshare. My work covers a bit of everything. I look after our website, shape our messages, create our campaigns and make sure our branding feels consistent and clear. At its heart, my role is about helping hospitality businesses and schools understand how simple EV charging can be. I focus on making sure our customers have the information they need to install chargers with confidence.
I was an EV driver when I joined voltshare, so I knew the joy of finding a charger that works smoothly and the frustration when it doesn’t. That experience made me want to be part of making the process easier for everyone. I’m passionate about the planet, and it means a lot to work for a B Corp that is genuinely doing good in the world. Being part of a company that makes sustainable travel more accessible is something I’m proud of.
My day usually starts with coffee before I settle into planning. I spend a lot of time looking at what our customers need and how we can support them better. That might be reviewing upcoming grants, planning content that will help hospitality businesses prepare or shaping campaigns for areas that need more charging options. There is always a new blog post to write or refine so it is safe to say my days are full of ideas and conversations about how we can make EV charging simpler.
I love reading the positive reviews about our team and how easy our installation process is. The real highlight is seeing businesses who were unsure about EV charging take the leap then watch their bookings or wet sales grow. When a customer tells us that installing chargers has made a real difference to their business, it makes all the work worthwhile.
Do it, do it, do it! It is one of the most future proofing decisions you can make. Grants will not last forever and it will always be cheaper to act early rather than wait until demand spikes. Installing now means you stay ahead of competitors and avoid the rush when the ICE vehicle ban gets closer. Most importantly, you make your business more accessible to the growing number of EV drivers who plan their journeys around charging.
Like most marketers, I’m a creative person at heart. My hobbies change with the weather, but they are usually craft related. I’ve just finished making a needle craft nativity set which has been my winter project. I'm also a huge animal lover, sheep and pigeons are my favs (bonus pic below).
