McNally EV, one of our trusted installers, shared their practical insights on the process of installing EV chargers at schools.

Continuing our Meet the Team series, next up is Ste, our Head of Business Development, a familiar face to many of you.
Hi, I’m Ste, the Head of Business Development, I lead the sales team, whilst also working with our partners and customers to deliver an EV charging network.
When I left financial services I wanted to work within an industry that was going to shape the future and would have a large focus on sustainability. I like working for a company that makes a difference in society and has a mission and values that are aligned with my own. After my first meeting with Sheng and Jonathan I knew that I wanted to be part of the team and could see the vision that they had and how I could help shape the future of the business.
One thing that I do like is there is no typical day, but it will generally have a large focus on speaking with the team and keeping abreast of any issues that they may be facing, speaking with our partner agencies, working with prospective clients and creating an outreach plan.
I like working with businesses and helping them to add additional services that benefit their clients, the environment and themselves.
I will speak with installers on the phone daily, and depending on the scope of the works required will attend site surveys with them, I feel that this helps to strengthen relationships and adds an extra dimension.
I think every install is a success, however my first group sale was particularly successful, and has seen Voltshare rolled out across 15 sites within that portfolio so far.
Voltshare set themselves apart by being heavily focused on customer service, I feel that we offer a consultative approach to make sure that the client makes the most informed decision for their venue. It’s not purely about a sale, it’s about making sure that we are the right fit for each venue and providing an unrivalled level of service.
Coffee.
The main thing is to stay focused on the outcome, working with different departments can be challenging, but aligning to the same end goal. It can be rewarding to come up with new solutions, or being able to suggest ideas that have worked at other venues.
EVs are getting more popular and you will have seen more chargers throughout your daily commutes, home charging is very affordable with some providers offering heavily discounted tariffs that is good for your wallet and not just the environment.
I have just started my second campervan conversion project, so that I can take it out to the mountains and go running!
