Golly Farm is our first Venue of the Month after achieving the highest average EV charger utilisation in December. EV charging helped secure a longer booking and attract more EV-driving guests to this rural holiday stay.

This year, we’re launching a new Venue of the Month award to recognise customers who are getting real value from their EV chargers. Each month, we’ll look at the data and pick one venue based on a specific theme, whether that’s usage, growth, consistency, or overall performance. It’s our way of celebrating the venues making EV charging work for their business.
For January, the focus was highest average charger utilisation across December. That means looking at how consistently a charger was used across the month, not just total sessions.
Our first Venue of the Month award goes to Golly Farm Cottages.
In December, their charger was in use for 28 out of 31 days, which is fantastic for a self-catering property. Even better, most of that usage came from the same driver. That wasn’t a coincidence. It turned out to be a longer booking that was made specifically because EV charging was available onsite.
That’s exactly the kind of real-world impact EV charging should have.

Golly Farm Cottages is in a rural location, where access to charging can be the difference between a booking and a missed opportunity. Since installing their charger, they’ve noticed a clear increase in bookings from EV drivers, ranging from confident regulars to people charging away from home for the first time.
What’s stood out is how smoothly it’s all run. Guests have been able to charge without issues, and because the system just works, the owners haven’t had to step in or troubleshoot. As they live onsite, that peace of mind really matters.
No interruptions. No awkward conversations. Just guests charging happily in the background.
I have had a variety of EV drivers - some very confident with all charging points and some new to the network. The voltshare system is simple and none of the drivers have encountered any issues charging.
The idea of installing a charger had been on their mind for a while. It made sense for improving their USP and backing up their green credentials. What held them back was the admin side. They didn’t want to manage payments or negotiate charging costs with guests.
That’s where voltshare came in.
From order to installation, the process was simple and hands off. Payments are handled automatically, and revenue lands directly in their bank without any fuss. In their words, it’s been easy and efficient, backed by a support team that’s always happy to help, even with the simplest questions.
I did not want to be responsible for negotiating with guests regarding payments. The voltshare product means I am completely hands off and I know I will receive payment without fuss.

That December booking says it all. One guest chose Golly Farm Cottages specifically because EV charging was available and stayed longer as a result. It’s a great example of how charging can quietly add value, not just through revenue, but through better bookings and happier guests.
That’s why Golly Farm is our first Venue of the Month. A charger that’s being used, guests who value it, and an owner who can stay completely hands off.
Exactly how it should be.
