Voltshare, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for the hospitality and destination sectors, today announced its certification as a B Corporation™ (B Corp™), furthering the company’s commitment to using business as a force for good while accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility. This distinction follows voltshare’s adoption of a purpose-driven mission and the integration of environmental and social responsibility into its core business practices.
The B Corp verification process, administered by the non-profit B Lab, measures a company’s social and environmental performance. To become a Certified B Corporation, companies undergo a rigorous review of the impact of their operations and business model on workers, customers, communities, and the environment, and must meet a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment.
“At voltshare, our vision has always been to lead not just in innovation, but in setting a benchmark for environmental and social responsibility,” said Sheng Liu, CEO of voltshare. “Joining the B Corp community is an important milestone that validates our efforts and connects us with a global network of like-minded organisations committed to creating positive impact.”
Voltshare is dedicated to reducing carbon emissions, supporting local communities, and empowering partners to make a measurable difference. In 2024 alone, voltshare’s network delivered over 245,000 kWh of electricity, resulting in the avoidance of 181 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions. Through its tree-planting programme, voltshare has offset the impact of its chargers, capturing over 163 tonnes of CO₂.
The company’s holistic approach to sustainability includes transitioning to 100% biodegradable packaging, optimising shipping to minimise emissions, and implementing circularity in operations through refurbishment and recycling of EV chargers. Voltshare also supports its customers and local installers with education, resources, and direct community investments, such as pilot projects in rural areas and fee waivers for community assets.
Voltshare’s commitment extends to its own workforce, fostering a culture of inclusion, transparency, and continuous improvement. With 100% of employees recommending voltshare as a great place to work, and a robust feedback and engagement process, the company ensures that its people are empowered to drive positive change.
Voltshare joins a global network of over 9,576 B Corps across 160 industries in 102 countries, united by the shared goal of redefining business success to include people, planet, and profit.
